MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. He has made major global advancements into Latin popular music scene. Una Lady Como Tu from 2016 was awarded the Colombian Kids Choice Award as Favorite Song in 2017. The singer released his first long-player ADN with the Sony-owned company based in Medellin, La Industria Inc. The Top Latin Albums chart ranked the album at 8. In the following year, he joined forces with Ozuna for the creation of Vaina Loca which reached number five on the chart of Top Latin Albums. Mala Influencia is his collaboration with Noriel in 2020. The following calendar year Dopamina was his follow-up album. In 2021, he appeared on a duet TINI on her most streamed song Maldita Foto. In 2023, he appeared on 2000, which included the smash hit La Bachata. Turizo was raised within a musical family, because both his mother and older brother are professional musicians. In his interviews, he's described playing music as an obligation. He was taught how to play guitar, saxophone ukulele, and piano as an infant. The first goal was to be an vet but when his brother Julian was convinced to let him attend lessons in singing with a Cuban singer, he changed career plans.
