Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is a Mexican-born musician born into a musical family. Her early years were spent listening to classical music, old boleros as well as traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana is enthusiastic about singing tangos as well as operas. In addition, she is a fan of drama performances. She was taught by her mother to sing, however she started more intensive vocal training through Flavio Belcerra, who was 16 at the time when the singer was famous as a Mexican opera Tenor. She continued her musical studies at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterwards at the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. She sang throughout Guadalajara, Mexico City and various cities while a student and professional. In 2000 she moved to America. United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2007, she relocated to her new home in Southern California. The group she is in currently part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and regularly performs as a soloist in traditional Latin American music at private concerts. She's involved in numerous local activities, both a teacher and performer, because of her love for music and arts. Ana was also an active member of the Community Chorus of Redlands as in addition to The Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana appreciates the opportunity to share her love and appreciation for classic Latin American songs with others, and in doing so hopes to spread the desire for younger generations in order to keep this music vibrant and alive.Viva Mexico!
